The band, founded in Grand Island when its members were still in high school, arrived in fighting form with its own particular slant on the alternative rock of the late 1980s and early '90s. Within its first year, the group had matured to the point where, concurrent with the gradual building of its following, its own stylistic and songwriting voice had fully emerged.

Before their opening set, the damp marble steps were packed wall to wall with people, some even chanting for the band, and when Dixon arrived on stage the crowd went mad. The band played four sets at the request of the audience with all the bravado and panache of true rock stars.

Whether it's a smokey bar with dim lighting or a giant outdoor festival in front of thousands, INLITE is an act who's style and appearence is only matched by their sound. The drums, bass and guitar give off a catchy brit-pop that is balanced by the dark, yet intense Robert Smith-esque vocals of singer Jordan Dixon.

INLITE released it’s debut EP, “For Future Reference,” on Tuesday and will have an official release performance on Saturday, June 11 at The Riviera Theatre in North Tonawanda. Justin Tartick, the manager of the INLITE fellows, described the EP as “...a collection of danceable, pop/rock songs that have been carefully crafted by the band…the guitars, bass and drum are straight out of the UK music scene mirroring the sounds of Arctic Monkeys and The Bravery and the synths and vocals are eerily reminiscent of singer Jordan Dixon’s favorite musical era - the 80’s.” I like the ‘80s, too. Now play me some Smiths.
